Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl!
Hello ghouls ♥. I.. am back. I honestly did not realize that my last blog post was in November & my last Top Ten Tuesday was last January until I sat down to put this post together. This is my attempt at making a full comeback, however! If you did not know & you want more bookish content, I am on Bookstagram & BookTok!
My 2021 reading year was honestly pretty good; after going through my 2021 Anticipated Reads shelf, I saw that I actually read quite a bit of new releases last year. Unfortunately though, the following are still sitting in stacks waiting to be opened.
What Big Teeth by Rose Szabo: I read a sample of What Big Teeth & absolutely fell in love. It gave me The Munsters vibes, but darker & so I definitely pre-ordered this one.
Love is a Revolution by Renée Watson: First off, look at that cover! Second, I really love body-positive books.
Lore by Alexandria Bracken: I was gifted this one by my sister & each month it sat waiting to be read. Greek Mythology in a modern setting? Sounds perfect.
The Girls I’ve Been by Tess Sharpe: Con artist taken hostage during a bank robbery? I’m in.
How We Fall Apart by Katie Zhao: I’m going to be real, I have no idea what this is about & it was the cover that won me over. I do have a library copy right now, so this will probably be read sooner than later.
All’s Well by Mona Awad: A case of I have zero idea what this is about, but Mona Awad’s Bunny won me over so I now will read anything she writes.
Survive the Night by Riley Sager: Sometimes I love Riley Sager & sometimes.. I don’t. Survive the Night features a killer, which obviously I’m here for. But then mixed reviews started coming in & I ended up pushing this one onto the back burner.
Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid: Again, no clue what this is about. But I’d read anything with Taylor Jenkins Reid’s name on it.
A Pho Love Story by Loan Le: I’m a sucker for romances with food involved, so this one was a no-brainer.
A Psalm of Storms and Silence by Roseanne A. Brown: I love A Song of Wraiths and Ruin, so I obviously had to have the sequel. I think I want to reread the first book though before diving into this one!
